Joey Ramone 1951-2001

Born Jeffrey Ross Hyman in Forest Hills, Queens, Joey Ramone helped found the seminal punk rock group the Ramones in 1974. The band helped launch the grassroots punk-rock movement in New York and London. Rolling Stone magazine named the Ramones the second-greatest band of all time and Joey Ramone was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.
